As I went to get my camera, it jumped on to our fence. Right before pointing my lens and focusing, it flew to this tree. Hawks have exellent vistion and I just know thatt they don't like their picture taken. I was capturing small birds and Great Egrets, which were plentiful, when this raptor flew near. It was one of those happenstance moments that are so very special when taking pictures in the wild. Whimbrel Curlews land at the @bolsachicacon on a s Whimbrel Curlews land at the @bolsachicacon on a small island near the water. The Whimbrel is a Curlew, which is a member of the Sandpiper family. Wherever we walk in parks or any sort of wildernes Wherever we walk in parks or any sort of wilderness or nature, we almost always run into the fun-loving, bushy-tailed, acrobatic and speedy squirrel. Some of them came close and begged for food. Others were a little more skittish, staring at us safely socially distanced.
